THE FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI
The Feast of Corpus Christi honors the arrival of the first fruits of the season in Mexico. The Feast takes place in June and the day varies according to the lunar calendar.
The Feast is celebrated differently depending upon the region in Mexico and Central America. In Mexico City, for example, the holiday is traditionally honored with a parade.
The Kindergarten children of St. Mary Magdalen School celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi by singing one of their favorite Spanish songs, "Musica" (words & music by Neraida Smith) in a whole school assembly and at the annual End-of-the-Year-Celebration, which was attended by the children’s family and friends.
The children enjoyed making colorful rattles in Art Class to use during the celebration. Another song that was sung by the Kindergarten children to ask God’s blessing upon everyone was, "May God Bless You With His Love. " (words & music by George Van Grieken)

MAY GOD BLESS YOU WITH HIS LOVE
May God bless you with His love.
Always fill you with His love.
May He hold you in the hollow of his hand
For the Lord is with you, in goodness and love.
May His light shine out in your heart.
