Scholastic
Bookfair
The big week is almost here! The Scholastic Bookfair is
coming to our library February 9
- 12, and each class will be visiting the library during school to make
their purchases. This is our big fund-raiser for the year, so
your support is appreciated.
Family
Reading Night is Feb. 10. We'll have reading in
every classroom, and a laser light show to end the night.
Registration is now closed.
Here's the schedule
of the reading events.
Keep
Collecting
Boxtops!
Please
send in your boxtops; we sent our first mailing in October, and the
next is coming soon.
Remember, each one
is worth ten cents for the library. Your participation would be
appreciated.
You
may also want
to take a look at the Boxtops for
Education website.
If you shop at any major retailer online by going through boxtops, the
school
library will receive a percentage of the sale. Click here to
browse the list of vendors.
7th
and 8th Grade Expectations
Library
is graded on an A,B,C scale.
It is
expected that assignments be
complete and turned in by their date. Late assignments will lose
five points each day. Once an assignment is five days late, it
will no longer be accepted, and the student will receive a zero for
the assignment.

Birthday
Book Club
To help
our collection grow, we
have established a birthday book club. To celebrate a student's
birthday , you may choose to donate a book to the library in his/her
name. A bookplate will be placed inside the book with the
student's name and year, and his/her name will be posted on the library
webpage, as well as the weekly newsletter. Suggestions for donations
can be found on the library wishlist page through the link in the
navigation bar on the left. Thank you for
your generosity!
World Book Online Available at Home!
You may now use World
Book Online at home. Just go to
www.worldbookonline.com and enter the user name and password you were
given at school. If you don't remember, contact Mrs. Bott, and
she can send them to you.
