DEVELOPMENT
COMMITTEE
The
mission of the Committee is to
establish,
manage and most importantly, to build the Reverend Henry Miller
Endowment
Fund in order to help preserve the long-term financial stability of St.
Mary Magdalen School.
At the
urging of the Diocese, the
committee was established in 1996 by
Pastor Rev. William F.Graney. Parishioners Paul Replenski,
Michael
Connelly and Vincent Schiavi headed up the Committee's initial efforts. Initial
fund raising efforts included several annual mail campaigns and
a number of special events such as 5K Run/Walks, golf outing,
Grandparent/Special Adult days and comedy nights. The fund
has sponsored tuition assistance
programs, technology
enhancements and contributed $40,000 in 2006 toward a new boiler system
for the school.
Parishioners,
alumni and friends of St.
Mary Magdalen School who wish
to make donations or bequests directly
to the School Development Fund
should specifically designate the fund when making their
contribution. Checks should be made payable to SMM School
Development Fund and mailed to the Parish office.
Questions
about the Development Committee can be
forwarded to Vincent
Schiavi at 302-656-4472 (work) or
